Portfolio Fundraising
An internal tool operated by Base10 Partners, used by Base10 and by the founders of Base10 portfolio companies to run an active fundraise together.
What it does
A company raising a round and the investor supporting it usually keep two different spreadsheets of the same investor pipeline, and both go stale. This app keeps one shared list: which investors are in the process, what stage each has reached, who can make the introduction, and what happens next. Both sides see the same thing.
The part that makes it worth using is that the record maintains itself. Rather than asking a founder mid-raise to update a tracker, the app reads the places where the raise is already being discussed and proposes updates, with the sentence each one came from attached, for a person to confirm.
Why it asks for calendar access
A fundraise is a sequence of meetings, so whether a meeting with an investor happened is the single most reliable signal of where that investor stands. Connecting a calendar means the pipeline reflects reality without anyone typing it in.
Calendar access is optional and separate from signing in. The app requests one read-only scope, calendar.readonly, and cannot create, change, or delete anything.
An event is stored only if someone from an investor firm is on the invite. Anything you mark private in Google Calendar is skipped before we look at who is on it, the event description is never stored, and disconnecting revokes access at Google and can delete everything already synced. The privacy policy sets out exactly which fields are kept.
Access
By invitation only. Base10 staff and named people at a portfolio company whose raise Base10 is supporting.
